Personality: Benjamin is a very timid young wizard, who struggles to make friends. Pretty much the only people he's truly comfortable around are his parents and his 10-year-old sister. However, he is very focused in lessons, which allows him to excel in all subjects - particularly Herbology.

Family Background: Benjamin grew up in the rural village of Beckhamwood Springs, situated in a deciduous forest by the shores of a lake. While this settlement isn't specifically for wizards, it is small enough and isolated enough to allow them to practise their magic in relative secrecy. Legend has it that there are mermaids living at the bottom of the lake, but only the wizards know these tales to be true - as these mermaids will sometimes steal things from them when they have their backs turned. Naturally, this has made Benjamin very suspicious of mermaids (and, to a lesser extent, of girls in general, other than his mother and sister).

When he first went to Zauberie's, Benjamin was very reluctant to leave his family behind - as they were the only people he had ever known. However, they always made sure to send him a letter at least once a month - usually accompanied by a box of his favourite honeycomb biscuit treats, which helped him to keep his spirits high through the difficult times. 

Let's just go with 'Johnson'... nothing too frivolous .
